Monday Evening StudySchedule: 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month 7:00PM — 8:30 PM You Write the Sermon: Tuesday Morning Bible StudyActivity: Group studies the scripture in preparation for the next Sunday’s sermon and shares of personal experiences. Members stay connected throughout the week. The pastor is invited. Who attends: 4-6 Thursday Morning Bible StudyActivity: In-depth Bible study. Led by pastoral staff, the group chooses a book of the Bible and covers a few verses a week with detailed discussion. Highlights from the original language (Hebrew or Greek) are shared for further consideration. Discussion also includes practical application to our lives and relevance to current events and activities. After completing a selected book, the group then spends four to six weeks on Living the Questions (LTQ). LTQ is small group program of Christian invitation, initiation and spiritual formation. It provides a safe environment where people have permission to ask the questions they’ve always wanted to ask, but have been afraid to voice. The over theme is faith as a journey, not as a destination. Something for everyone, this study time alternates between Biblical study of 4-6 weeks and LTQ discussion of 4-6 weeks. Who attends: Varies Women’s Friday Morning Bible StudyActivity: In-depth Bible study. Led by lay leaders, the group chooses the book of the Bible and covers one chapter per week while they enjoy looking for practical applications. FUN and lively discussions! Prayer time shared at the end of the lesson. Who attends: Approx. 12 women Noon Book GroupActivity: Each month the group discusses a different non-religious fiction or non-fiction book followed by sharing of joys and concerns. Everyone brings their own lunch, and someone brings a beverage and a treat for all. Who attends: 8-12 members Men’s Groups |
