First Presbyterian Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is an adult vocal choir comprised of about 35 members. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings for one and a half hours and sings at the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services every Sunday. The Choir is typically accompanied by organ or piano but often incorporates other instruments, including a small orchestra, or handbells and brass. The Choir sings for some special events as well.

Adult Bells

The Bells of the Valley is an adult handbell choir consisting of 13 members that play five octaves of Schulmerich handbells and four octaves of Malmark chimes. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights 7:30 - 9:00pm with monthly worship service participation as well as community outreach. In May the choir has a Handbell Extravaganza. It plays at the Area VII American Guild of English Handbell Ringers festival every other June. The choir also rings occasionally at Boutwell’s Landing and with other handbell choirs. Youth Bells

Ringers of the River is an enthusiastic youth bell choir of 6th through 10th grade youth at First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater. We practice Wednesdays at 4:30 right before Kids for Christ. We play four to six times each year during Sunday services. Every other year, youth in Ringers of the River have the opportunity to take part in a youth bells camp held in Stewartville, MN sponsored by the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.

Youth Choir

All Kindergarten through 7th graders are invited to join the First Presbyterian Youth Choir. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 and Sunday mornings from 9:30-10. Youth are invited to attend either or both rehearsals. We sing in worship once a month and perform a Christmas and a Spring Musical.
